Angry No consistent result with this method

Followed the suggested procedure, but Autosync wants to keep reverting to the default USB setting, and the "USB Dial" will not then connect, even if the original connection is terminated. Even resorted to deleting the existing partnership and creating another. That worked fine until I cycled the IPAQ back on, and it reverted to the default USB connection again! Has anyone else run into this problem. Thanks.

The only way I can switch between my typical USB settings and the USB Dial settings is to select one, then physically lift my iPAQ out of it's cradle and but it back into it's cradle and the new connection is established. Then when I want to use USB Dial to surf the web from my iPAQ I gotta repeat the procedure. It is a bit annoying but it does work.

    Default USB Connection

Disconnecting and re-connecting the IPAQ from its cradle, even if the USB dial connection is selected beforehand, does not result in connecting with anything other than `USB for me. I am about ready to give up, get a serial cradle, and use Mocha.

BTW-- any way to store your favorites for surfing? The only favorites folder that I am aware of is for offline purposes. The only way to do anything like this that I can see is to resort to the History menu.

Angry IPAQ connecting to Internet via USB

I have the same problem since I've upgraded my ROM from 1.28 to 1.77. My connection setting always reverts back to USB. I've even switched it manually through the registry and it still goes back. On an intermittent basis, I can disconnect while in the cradle, set the connection to USBDial , pull from the cradle and put back and sometimes get a connection, but it's not worth the headache. If anyone has any suggestions it would
    be appreciated. tomob1@mediaone.net

    Here's a new one...

I did the suggestions on my HP 548 and yes, I have to connect manually via the new connection to get working. But here's the really wierd part.

I was able to hit 1 webpage (my personal one). After that, all others I type brings up the cached copy of the first page I went to! No matter WHAT i type in. Odd...

I'll try to clear the cache or something. Just I was just relaying my experience.

Oh, and one final comment. I had to copy ALL of the elements under the registery key, not just the one listed in this article.

    Question and for serial cradle?

For a E-115 that uses a serial instead of a USB cradle, is there a similar solution for such task?
