Sync Outlook and Windows Live Calendar
I'm new to WP7 and just trying to get up to speed with it.
Yesterday I installed the Hotmail Outlook Connector and was able to load my contacts and scheduling info onto it through a Window Live account.
My understanding is that once the phone is connected to the internet that it will automatically sync with Windows Live Calendar.
But how do I sync the data that's in the Windows Live calendar with the data that's in Outlook on my PC.

Re: Sync Outlook and Windows Live Calendar
There are two options:
One, use the Hotmail Outlook Connector for Outlook, PC flavor. This is a option I didn't totally explore, and it supposedly allows to sync your Calendar and Contacts among Outlook - HotMail. Supposedly, cause it actually generates calendar and contacts in different folders other than the default in Outlook. Supposedly and fortunately, cause there are several incompatibilities among Outlook and Hotmail, and I actually found it good in that the assembly didn't try to sync it all without the user's consent.
Second: in Outlook in desktop (in the computer, I mean): you have to configure your Windows Live Mail account (sorry for keeping calling it Hotmail), but you have to configure it through Exchange ActiveSync. This configuration doesn't require the Hotmail Connector for Outlook, and IME both ways to connect actually obstruct one each other, so whatever you do better if connect JUST ONE. MS Exchange Active Sync (EAS for short) will sync Email, Calendar and Contacts among Outlook and Windows Live Mail, just as if it were a corporate email account. IME, this is the best option of both, but of course YMMV, so be careful and back up your information before proceeding. Matter of fact, a good way of backing up your Windows Live Mail calendar and contacts, is to install the Hotmail Outlook Connector for Outlook, allow to sync to those additional folders (other than the default in Outlook), remove the Connector, and then configure the Windows Live Mail in Outlook under EAS.
The Outlook connectors family of thingies are IME kind of unfinished plug-ins that never do exactly what they say in the brochures. I've used several of them and I can't say I'm totally satisfied with them. IMO your best option is to use EAS. Besides you can use it with more than one desktop terminal, i.e. use it with a computer at home and with a computer at work, and excellent consistency of your data is preserved.
