Kudos to the generous Ipaq donor!

Oh, what a nightmare! Having my 2200 stolen would be the equivalent to the loss of my beloved bike when I was a child- although the 2200 cost slightly more than my green banana seat Schwinn. ;-)
I did think I left my 2200 on the seat of an airplane in May, and you should have seen me tearing through my bag in the hotel, saying over and over: 'No, this can't be happening... NO, please say this isn't happening!...' Well I did find it eventually, after which I had to sheepishly apologize to my husband for my little tantrum/outburst. I was a little embarrassed of the way i 'freaked out', but he seemed to understand - or pretended to. He's using a Palm Vx, that rarely ever gets used, so we're not exactly on the same playing field when it comes to PDA's! :-)
At any rate, your situation really made me want to help you out, so I've also made a donation through your website.
I hope you are able to get back on your organizational feet very soon!!

You are right - we all need to be reminded of what is important!
My sons, my family and my precious life come before any computer/gadget/gizmo!
Thank you Heather for your donation! Please choose a parenting message from our web site so that you can get recognition. http://www.newparentsnetwork.org is the site.
I have NEVER experienced such generosity from a single group in the 16 years that I have run New Parents Network. Brighthand members have been so incredibly kind, helpful, and generous and it all happened without me asking for help (other than sympathy
).
You all need to know how much it means to me.
Thank you.

Desertwoman! I feel for your pain and loss. Losing your PDA can be like losing a precious pet. So much worse if it were intentionally stolen.
I'm glad you got a replacement though and hopefully the person who stole it doesn't know how to use it and your personal information dies with the battery.
Though just for additional security... get yourself a stuffbak.com label for your PDA. I got one with my rhinoskin case. They wear well and if you lose your PDA you would be more likely to get your PDA back if the battery died while in the wild.-Sylvangale-
