No problem, glad I could help.

I'm really looking forward to the next version, with all the customisable options it will be fantastic!

Thanks again for taking the time to work on it.

I tried to encode a DivX file that i have. It creates the .avi fine but media player is telling me its an incorrect file type (i also got PocketPlayer which tells me the same thing)

I used the defult settings... Does this mean i cant convert my DivX files to PocketPC?

Which MediaPlayer tells "it's an incorrect file type" ? If it's the MediaPlayer from PocketPC, you should read more carrefully the download page of the soft and the forum !

OK, So you have to know that this soft is intended to create video files playable only thanks to "PocketMVP". Read more the download page if you want to download this soft, or just read forums...

Wildelnab, I've got another two suggestions for the next release:

    1. You know about the characters that the encoder doesn't like (commas, semicolons, maybe more?), so please can you implement a feature so that when the user selects a file to be converted, the program checks the filename for problematic characters and pops up a message to tell the user. (so that they know as soon as they load the file, not just when they try to encode it)

    2. A feature I would really, really like to see would be to allow the user to select multiple files in the browse mode so that they can all be added to the batch list using the same settings.

Just now, the user has to select one file at a time and manually add it to the batch list. Maybe a separate file-open box to allow multiple file selection and the selected files would all be added to the batch list with the current encoding options. (If you implement this, please also include the same filename checking that I suggested above for all of the selected files)

I hope I explained those two suggestions well enough. Please let me know if you need a better description.

It's OK, I will add these features... Now the soft deals well with commas or other special characters, don't worry...

I will also add an option : "Add all the video files contained in the directory with the same settings for all"... I think it is a good way for dealing with multiple files...

This is a good idea, but I meant something like allowing a CTRL+Click to select multiple files in the filechooser window.

Thanks once again for taking all these suggestions into consideration!

    Thumbs up

I was playing around with DVD to PPC lessons for weeks with no luck. I tried everything out there. Then 25 minutes ago I downloaded ver 3.25 and it worked like a charm. Very nice and fast. I'll donate to the author.
My 800 is wound out so tight and personalized, I think twice before installing anything. Looking for MS Seated $'s
