    Hey all,

    KUDOS on your great additions!

    I just finished the following:

    1) Added the 8 new symbols to the archive.

    2) Added the info about being able to use !Wait in WM2003 in any language to the index page (and how to find your language value).

    3) Updated the Wait.exe programs to include the new versions with icons.

    4) Fixed all the page counters to reflect true values for their downloads. I had accidentally tied several together.

    5) Was absolutely astounded to see that !Wait has been downloaded nearly 1500 times! Way to go! Some symbols have been downloaded several hundred times!

Keep creating those symbols as people are using them like wildfire.

P.S. Some people prefer the bordered symbols, while others do not. Therefore, I'll just keep hosting both so everyone can get what they want.

    UPDATE

OK folks, now it is official.

!Wait works with any WM2003 OS language.

If you use another WM2003 OS language as English make following :

1.) Start an Registry Editor for the PPC.
You can use the PHM Registry Editor (Freeware), TRE (Freeware) or any other Registry Editor.

2.) Take a look in your PPC Registry :
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]SysLang
    or
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI]CurrLang

Notice the available DWORD Data value. Be sure the Registry show you the DWORD Data as Hexadecimal value !

    Here an example :
If you have a German version of the WM2003 you have following
    value > 407
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]SysLang > 0x000407 (Hexadecimal)

3.) Rename now the installed gwes.exe.409.mui which you can find in your Windows folder in gwes.exe.407.mui

    4.) Softreset

    5.) Finish

It works with all languages like Spanish, German, French, Italian, Chinese etc.

Thanks ctitanic, for your help !

Anyone interested in a wait symbol manager?
I'm thinking of playing with a program to allow you to put a number of symbols on your machine, then you could simply select one from a list to change it. It would just automate the file copying, not much more.

If there is enough interest, I'll try to do it.

    Why not ?

I?m too lazy at moment ...

PS: I wrote a simple script (nScriptm) for me to automate something.

Most definately! It would be great to automate this. Maybe make it so you can put a number of mui files in a folder. Then the program can take any one of them and copy it to the Windows folder, giving it the proper name along the way.

If you could, make it so it will automatically take the machine language value from the registry and use that in the filename... What do you think?

Well, it's true, the wait symbol can be any size you want, but from my experimentation, it doesn't matter: the PPC will crop it down to 32x32 pixels regardless. Note: It doesn't shrink it down, it crops it down--so no good.

Also, I tried using fewer than 16 frames. Unfortunately, it just defaults the missing frames to the original symbol.
