Default Can I have dhcp for "work" and static for "internet" network card profiles?

Can someone please help me with my network card profiles? I am using my built-in 802.11b wireless on my pda. I guess I just don't get it. What I would like is to have two different type of address's, static and dhcp, where my regular connection uses a static IP address, and then at work I use DHCP. The problem I am having is that when I set the static IP address for "The Internet" as what my network card connects to, as soon as I change it to "work", where I set it to DHCP, my static IP address is deleted and now is set to dhcp. So basicly, I cannot have a work profile seperate from an internet profile.

Am I doing something wrong here? I thought PPC 2003 let you have different connection profiles?

    Thank you

I use KelBran Software IP Manager to accomplish this. At work, I use DHCP, but at home I have a static IP.

I use an iPAQ H5450 running WM2003. When I was running PPC2002, HP had a profile manager utility which would handle this for me, but not so in WM2003.

IP Manager costs $15 and so far, works pretty well.

    Good luck.
