    Question Mobipocket..?

    I have heard a lot about Mobipocket...

    I am not interrested in its eBook capability but more its potential to replace AvantGo...Could I have some comments on this please?

    Can't be a replacment, as there is not 100% overlap of channels. Also, some sites, like the NY Times, don't work well (in the NYT case, articles continuing to page 2, 3, are not downloaded).

    That said, I like reading news with Mobipocket better. Also, the reader (like uBook reader) is great at reading saved .HTM, .TXT files saved to your PDA. You'll get better results saving "print versions" of HTML pages, BTW. Mobipocket 4.6 is a great ebook reader, plain and simple. And the dictionaries for it are superb, unlike the slow poke MS Encarta .LIT dictionary.

    I know there are previous threads about this -- search on "Mobipocket enews" and you should find 'em.
