Question Question about Pocket Informant and "1-99/A-Z" task priorities

I'm currently trying out Pocket Informant on my Toshiba e740, and while I love the ability to assign priorities to your tasks (I used to use the whole Franklin-Covey system), it seems to also mess around with the task items when syncing with Outlook.

As an example, if I assign a certain task (e.g. "Walk the dog") the priority of "A1," the task gets renamed in Outlook as "A1: Walk the dog." This normally wouldn't be so bad, except that on recurring tasks, I don't like for the items' names to get changed.

Is there a way of correcting this? I'm not sure if there's some option in Pocket Informant that I'm missing, or if I just need a different program (e.g. Agenda Fusion, which I haven't tried yet).

    Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, there's really no way to work around this. Outlook doesn't support these types of priority settings, so PI had to work around that limitation. Appending the priority value to the beginning of the description was the chosen solution.

Switching to Agenda Fusion wouldn't help, since AF uses the same approach.

Your best bet is to sort out your view in Outlook to take advantage of the prioritisation. I can't tell you specifically how, as that will depend on the way you work, but it's worth a play.

BTW, this does mean that you can assign priorities from within Outlook as well as on the PPC. Just append the A-Z,1-99 in the same way as PI does, and that priority will be recognised by PI.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice

Boy, that's not good to hear. Thanks for the help, though!
