Default Yiso CF Phone Card for Sprint is a Phone

I just noticed that on Sprint's web site, they put up the new Yiso CF 2031 CompactFlash card for Sprint PCS Vision. It's not available yet (supposedly this week or early next), but according to the specs, it comes with a Li-ion battery and charger. That would indicate to me that the card is "always on" and can be used on a PocketPC as a regular phone in standby mode. Very cool

They have several errors in that products description on their website.

    1) It cannot be used byitself. It must be in a device such as a Pocket PC or notebook.

    2) They say "Fits Type II PC Card Slot". It's actually a Type 2 CF device so it will fit in a Type 2 compact flash slot. IT does come with a CF-to-PCMCIA adapter so that you can use it in a Type 2 PC Card slot.

    3) They say "Packaged with a lithium-Ion battery, PC Card Adapter, A/C charger, CD-ROM, and Start Here Guide. " IT comes with:

    Type II Compact Flash Card
    Retractable Antenna
    PCMCIA Adapter

    4) They say "Approximately 3 hours talk time or 5 days of stand-by time in digital. " The card doesn't have a battery so it can't hold a charge. It all depends on your Pocket PC or laptop.

We have the real specs for this card at http://www.dpcomputerstore.com/produ..._id=18-004-003

He he, good ol' Sprint, on top of things as usual. Are you actually expecting it by the end of the week? I would think soon since Sprint actually put it on their website.
