touch screen broke; can't get out of align screen!

Ok, I have a compaq ipaq 3135 (the monochrome one) and recently the touch screen broke. I hard resetted, and the problem is that I cannot get by the Align Screen function.

I can still see the screen fine, it just that the digitizer does not respond to stylus taps. I can still sync to my computer, or even record messages. I just can't seem to get out of align screen. Is there anyway to bypass this? Thanks!

Here is what I did:

I connected the PPC, then installed the Remote Desktop Dispay program to the iPaq and placed it in the start up folder so it would automaticaly run and so I could contrl the pocket pc from the desktop. however, while I was browsing the startup folder, I found a program called Welcome. Apperantly, aligning the screen, testing the tap and hold, and setting the time zone is one program from ROM called Welcome, and once the PPC is loaded, it is deleted! So if you ever want to get around that annoying copy and past function after a hard reset, just keep it synced and delete the welcom program; however, I don't see why anyone would want to spend that much time to avoid a simple process!
