Error occured while greeting.
Connection timed out.

Man, I have to admit I have no idea what the deal is on some devices. Sorry.
All I know is that GMail works fine on mine. All I needed the SSL.dll in my program files and it works. I have not needed any certificate or fix that has been recommended in this thread.
As I have posted before, anyone is more than welcome to post on the BTS for the developer. He does speak english and always answers my posts within a day. It is in Japenese, but I just translated the page and wrote down directions so that I can post on the site without having to remember what is what.

Hi HH,
thanks again for your help.
Things are finally starting to come together now.
I can now view my folders properly on the left side!
I'm having a little problem sending some attachment e-mails now. There are around three pics in each e-mail. I can see the three e-mails in the Outbox. When I try to send them Qmail closes immediately.
Have you ever experienced this?
Maybe the total attachment size is too big?

Let me understand. you are sending some emails. each email has about three pics attached...if so what is the combined amount about? you can compose, attach and then they go to outbox but then you try to send and wammo the thing closes. Right?Originally posted by EricG

Eric,
I just sent a 514KB message with 8 Jpgs from my device with no problem. I am not sure how big is big though. I know when you setup your account you get this index option, but correct me if I am wrong I believe that is in reference to intake quantity.

You can translate the page from Japanese to English using BabelFish:Originally posted by hezahonker

I got it now. The three attachments in each e-mail were too big, or the three combined were too big. Each e-mail was around 2 M.Originally posted by hezahonker

When I cut down the size of the attachments they were sent.
All is well again.

Please note that in order to post to the BTS forum you cannot do it with a translated page. At least everytime I tried it gave me an error. You have to use the orginal Japenese website. However, just write down what everything is and then when you go to post on the orginal website you can refer to your translation. That's how I have been doing it. Works great.

Yes way too large!
Now that I seem to be able to have my e-mail fairly under control now perhaps you can give me a few tips to set up my newsgroup settings? There are quite a few!
Which ones are the essential ones? I just want to subscribe to one or two groups to start.
There's accounts and sub-accounts and host info and way too much stuff!!!! What's the min. required to get the newsgroups happening? I tried a few, but nothing's being downloaded.
Eric
