Doesn't the Dlink have 2-3 times the range of the Symbol?

Just a caution on these...I bought the DLink card, thinking it'd have drivers for Windows 98/ME/2000 to use with a PC Card adapter, but it doesn't. Symbol says that the card is compatible with PCMCIA, but they don't have drivers yet, either. So if you want to use this in your laptop and your PDA, you can't, at least not yet!

I can't make it work...
I'm having trouble getting my Symbol wireless card to work, primarily because of my lack of knowledge. Would someone who understands these things mind taking a look at my question at http://discussion.brighthand.com/sho...402#post200402 and helping me out?
Thanks!

Ellen,
Just download and install D-Link's driver for their PCMCIA card on your laptop, then when inserting the CF card, use the pick-driver-from-list thingie and select the driver. Works like a charm. Goes the other way too, you can use the PCMCIA card in a PC expansion sleeve by using the CF card's driver.
Edit: the driver for the CF card is not currently available for download. You might need to private message some nice guy with an avatar of a broken Aircard 400 to get it
