It is common wisdom that the Pocket PC OS will not sync My Documents' subfolders more than one deep (i.e., "/My Documents/Travel", yes; '/My Documents/Travel/Europe", no).
The assumption is that the OS is incapable of doing so because the capacity is not there. I am wondering whether the capacity is there but is being artificially limited -- perhaps so as not to intimidate novices. An analogy is with a car capable of 120 mph with a 'governer' on its engine that limits its speed to 65 mph.
I am interested in hearing from any Registry wizards about this idea.

Like many other things, PocketPCs are completely capable of doing this, but no one has made any software for it.
If there were enough developers for the PocketPC platform, PocketPCs would be nearly as powerful as desktop computers.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to get ActiveSync to syncronize subfolders of subfolders of the My Documents folder, yet.Thomas Graupner
