Okay... so every time I connect my PPC, it launches the application installer -- it doesn't actually try to install anything, and if I click ok or cancel, it goes away, but it's really really annoying.

    Anybody gots a solution?
    The iCuz i700 Repair Guide:

-- 1) You need to turn the phone off before you remove any programs!
-- 2) The "Lock" for buttons is well hidden in the "Power" control panel.
-- 3) To automatically log into Verizon voicemail... enter *86pp#XXXX# (where XXXX is your password) under the Tools, Options menu of the phone. (Add extra p if two pauses is not enough.)
-- 4) So far, EBcases, TuffasNutz, Rhinoskin, Verizon, and Vaja all make cases for the i700.
-- 5) Still no word on whether the Targus IR keyboard supports the i700.

    ... more to come!

This usually happens when you run an application installer while your mobile device is disconnected, and then the installer afterwards (before you reconnect your mobile device).

To get rid of this problem, you have to edit your desktop computer's registry.
This can be dangerous, but if you follow the following instructions carefully, it should be pretty safe: (Please note that I still take no responsibility for whatever happens.)

    1) Click the "Start" button.
    2) Select "Run".
    3) Type "regedit", then press enter. This should launch Registry Editor.
    4) Go to the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AutoStartOnConnect".
    5) Delete all the value(s) in this key except "Default".
    6) Go to the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AppMgr\Apps".
    7) In this key, there should be another key for the application which you were "trying" to install. Go to this key.
    8) Delete the value "PendingInstall". Don't set it's data to zero, just delete it. This will complete the process.
    9) Exit the registry editor.

    That's it!

    I hope this helps,

    Default Thanks!

There was no "pending install" key, but the rest worked like a charm.

THANK YOU! ... that was a huge help!
