Thanks for the heads up ! My trial period on Xiino is almost expiring so now I can evaluate this one

Which VM Java do you recommend ?
Is the issue with the Norvegian language still there ?
And with the proxy server ?

I just tried to install the jad/jar files.
It would not allow me to install these in mian memory (which I already expected) but I can not install to SD card either since I have a SD Wifi Card.

Or should I first install to SD and then transfer to main ? I'll try that ...

What if I take the Treo650 prc file ?

Would SuperWaba be acceptable as JVM ?

    Questions, questions ....

    Update:

downloading to card and then copying/moving to main does not seem to work.
Downloading the prc works BUT then I get a complaint about Websphere not being installed. So that rules out SuperWaba as well ...

Does it HAVE to be IBM's WebSphere ?

    Links are on my
    blog

If you are on a non-Palm Palm OS device you can get Websphere from Handango

I'd opt for the prc file (it's the full version). I installed both on my Palm main memory.

    Multi-language versions available.

    It's working on my TC.
Doesn't crash after entering a URL for me.

    After 10 minutes of use
    - The 5-way navigational button scrolls to each selectable text field....so you'll probably end up using the stylus with the scroll bar. Really annoying. I wish Nav down was page down.
    - I haven't found a "full screen" view yet. So you have the Banners on Top and bottom taking up screen real-estate.

The down button takes you through each hot link. COnfused me at first as well, but I'm now pretty used to sideways to go up or down a page.

You can get full-screen mode with the * key (blue funcion key then the g/* on the keyboard).

Full set of shortcuts on my site or on OperaMini itself under Menu>Tools>Help>Shortcuts

Unhappy And OFF it went ...

OK, I'm back with an update.

I had a crash (very rare on my setup !) so I suspect something went rogue with either the WEME or Opera installation.
Anyhow, after the reset it seemed to work.

But am I DISAPPOINTED with the poor image quality.
Sure it renders the pages faster.
Sure it keeps the page formatting more to what it should look like.
Sure the 5-way handling of jumping to the next hyperlink is sometimes handy (but not when reading pages of text )

But that image quality ... it's just ... UNACCEPTABLE.
Even when setting the checkmark on 'High Quality' with an additional indication this would make loading take twice as long ... no ... it's a No Go for me. The images just look too blurry.

So after a 1-day test period, I decided this is not for me. I truly hope others will have better luck then me and will enjoy it. Maybe a future version will convince me to look into it again

I think I will stick with Xiino for the time being.
