    Default Restore Contact Photos

I'm having trouble restoring contact photos. If I restore from the Palm Desktop file, then the photos are restored. But I use Now Contact. Does anyone know the name of the file the the Palm uses to store the contact photo info so I could restore that too and regain my contact photos? Thanks.

I use a different Contacts app called EasyAddress (NOT the version offered by Iambic after they acquired it.) It's also based on Palm native address book, but with icons and photos. My files (using ZLauncher's File Mgr) are EasyAddress .prc, EAIcons.pdb, and EAImages.pdb. Look for a file resembling the last on my list, but with something to clue you that it goes with your application. That's my best guess, based on having to restore my own app last year. (This is on my Zire71; on my T/E I just use Palm Contacts.)

    Good luck!

What are the differences betw EasyAddress bef and aft Iambic aqcuired it? Is it a stand alone app or only available as an add-on to Agendus?

I can't try it now as my workstation currently is filtering out the DL for some reason

I bought both EasyAddress V1.3PE & EasyNotes V1.1.2 after using the trials of each in March of 2004. I wanted to be able to add photos to my address book using EasyAddress; EasyNotes offered the ability to have Memos with icons & Notepad notes for each entry (also a Voice utility that my Zire71 couldn't use - no recorder.) BinaryGarden was the developer; now the only way to view descriptions/pages of the original apps is via The Wayback Machine, and some of the web pix haven't been preserved.

The descriptions for both apps at PalmGear are essentially correct in concept. Before their purchase by Iambic, both apps allowed for the use of your entire current icon set (mine is DateBk5, 1000+ icons.) Since the newest versions were "upgraded" and released from Iambic, there is a very small, limited icon group incorporated into the apps. The icons are ugly & uninspired and are a source of much dissatisfaction at the Support User Groups at Iambic - Agendus users can't use their own icons either. I don't like the new apps & have never bothered to upgrade to Iambic's versions. I'll continue to use the older versions that I originally purchased from BinaryGardens, and have said as much to Iambic Support.

I wish the original devs could've continued their work, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

    The apps are stand-alone.
