.txt files

Hi people!

I was wondering if there is a way to view, edit and save documents with a .txt extension? I want to be able to edit HTML and XML files on my Palm. I know that it would not be possible (?) to save .txt documents to ram because this is not a Palm compatible format. However I also know that it is possible to save them in a memory card (SD, MMC).

Is Documents To Go capable of doing this? If so, how? If not, any software that is?

I want to be able to do this because I have a Smartphone running Microsoft's Smartphone 2002. I want to be able to make home screens for it on my Palm and then simply beam the file to my Smartphone once its done.

The my idea above cannot be done, is there a way for the smartphone to read text that came from the Palm?

Anyone with experience on this?

There is a freeware program that can handle .txt files, VFSi. It is also an excellent program for viewing jpg and bmp files. You can find it here

It comes with a number of plugins that you will need for .txt and .bmp files

You can also try SiEd, which I have used to edit hundreds of HTML documents. It is an extremely basic program, but it is freeware and is updated almost weekly.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I like both applications very much. I believe that I might stay with SiED because it has more features when writing the document. VFSi has many features because of its plug-in capabilities, however I have no use for the plugins other than the text plug-in since I already use other software to do the same job.
