    Default Data File Name

I use a Mac G4 with System 10. The Palm Desktop data file is stored in a default location with the name "User Data". Is there a way I can change it to default to synchronize with a Palm Desktop file in a different location with a different name?

    Hello hdulc.

I don't believe that the changing the data file path and file name are configurable options in Palm Desktop.

You could create a separate HotSync user, but the location wouldn't be very different. It would just be ~/Documents/Palm/Users/userName. Different HotSync users will have different folders, so you can at least store multiple configurations. Is this what you're looking for?

Files will always litter the ~/Documents/Palm folder. It's annoying that Palm Desktop doesn't follow the Apple guidelines for placing application files into ~/Library/Application Support, but since development is dead on the product anyway, there's nothing that can be done.
