Default Newbie Needs Major Help Installing Apps

I have been trying to install programs onto my UX 50 for days now. I am new to Palm so i am still learning the OS. I have successful installed a few applications to the internal media/msfiles. However, I have been trying to install the trial version of Docs to go and daynotez. My laptop is on the frits so I have been using my WIFI connection at home to download directly from the net. The apps are downloading and I have unzipped them however they are not on my launcher screen. I have been downloading them to msfiles. I also tried copying the files to launcher and still did not work. HELP Please...thanks...

I'm not familiar with a UX50 (who makes it?) but with Palm hardware, if you're using the default launcher, you have to select the card before apps there will show up. In the category pick list in the upper right corner, select the card at the bottom, with an icon of an SD card & whatever name you've given your card, if any. Then everything in the /palm/launcher directory on the card should show up.
    Regards,

    Stan

    Thanks Stan

The UX 50 is the new clie by sony. I am able to view the file in the application window (clie files) however the application is not found on the launcher screen which allows me to actually open the app and use it. If you have any susggestions let me know. Also, the clie runs Palm OS 5.

Docs to Go used to, and I believe still does, requires certain files to be in RAM.

Some utilities refer to RAM as internal, some as the Palm itself (maybe UX50?), so if you can move the files there, you might have better luck.

Sorry if you have already done this and I misunderstood.
