Looking for a good Backup solution
I am looking for a dependable backup program for my Palm. Preferably something OS5 compatible. I have heard that some people use Backup Pro by Handera but I am unsure if this is the best solution or if there is something out there that is better.
Any suggestions???

I like Card Backup . You can have multiple backups on the sd card at one time. You can set an automatic backup at a specified date and time. You can restore the full backup or just parts of it. It has definitely saved my butt a few times. Some people don't like it because it doesn't back up to the PC, only to the card.

I use Card Backup and Backupbuddy. As mentioned above, Card Backup is really convieniently designed. You can even schedule a different backup for every day of the week so that you can go back to any point in the last week if you want.
BackupBuddy is great for backing up to the PC. It has a CardSync program that allows you to convieniently backup the card during hotsync as well.

I use BackupBuddy/VFS. Works flawlessly, scheduled backups run automatically, and you can restore individual files. Just set it and forget it.

I use BackupMan. Works really well. Backs-up and restores very easily. You can schedule backups too.

I am now using BackupMan on my TC. I have scheduled back ups to occur at 4 am each morning.
I was using BackupBuddy when I had my m130 but it caused a major problem which was only cured by deleting BackupBuddy completely.

I used Backupbuddy until recently then found when I wanted to restore from the PC it was useless and didn't do the job at all well.
So started just backing up to a card using Backupman. Seems fine but will only know on a restore.

I use BackupBuddyVFS on my TT - seems to work fine and I have tested it with some deliberate hard resets.
The only part that doesn't work under OS5 is the ability to selectively backup and restore files.
The only thing I have found that doesn't get backed up is the Tungsten T patch.
It would appear that some people have used backup software, but never tried a hard reset to see if it works - might I suggest that if you're in this category you don't actually have a backup solution in place, regardless of what the actual backup software is.
Mike.

I like Card Backup (www.jkware.com).

A Question about ProBackup
I*'ve asked the question before but no answer.
Is there ANY reason why purchasing Proporta ProBackup (as a separate card) is a good idea vs the software versions described above?
Thanks
