Palm Tungsten E v. Handspring Visor Edge

After 2 years, my Handspring Visor Edge has crashed. The PDA continues to freeze up and the problem is not corrected by soft or hard resets. I am considering purchasing a Tunsten E or another Handspring Visor Edge on ebay that allegedly has not been used. Please note that I would like to spend $150-190. Any thoughts?

I also noted on one website that the Tunsten E has a new grafitti system. What is that all about?

If you do not have Springboard accessories that you require, do not mind giving up a cradle, and don't need cable connections to a phone or serial device, get the T|E. It's light-years ahead of the Visor.

Oh, and because of a lawsuit by Xerox, Palm had to change some of the Grafitti strokes slightly. Things like T and K are most affected, but it isn't too hard to adjust to.

I agree, there is no reason to buy an old Handspring product at this point. You may also consider the Clie TJ35.

Thank you for your responses to my post. One question: If my PC at work (Microsoft NT) requires a serial port, does Palm offer an adapter or any other way around the USB cable?

For the T|E, the only way around the USB cable is to buy a serial infrared port for the desktop and sync over IR. Price would be around $20-30.
