Question Remind me of a Reminder Program...

I'm looking for a reminder program, so I don't clutter up my DateBook with entries.

I'd like to be able to enter events that are either stand-alone, monthly, or yearly, and have it remind me of them (preferably with an alarm or a pop-up window).

Specifically, I want to set up reminders for when all my bills are due. I realize that it's possible to do this with DateBook, but the events would be all over the place, and hard to consolidate, mentally. Further, they'd really clutter things up.

Anyone know of a good fit for this?

    Thanks!

    Scott

Both Datebk4 (and Datebk3) and Action Names will allow you to attach alarms to todos, but they are also do a lot more (integrating your Datebook, Todo list, Addressbook, etc.)

A simpler solution to your problem might be ToDo PLUS.

    Thanks, Bill.

I was aware of DateBk4, but really wasn't too keen on giving up ~600K for the privledge.

I've debated for some time regarding switching to it, but am not sure that I want to commit that much RAM and brain power to learning all the whiz-bang features.

ToDo Plus seems more in line with what I'm looking for, but prehaps more than I am willing to spend at this time.

I'll keep looking. (Or maybe break down and cough up for ToDo Plus. )

I use Reminder. I also use DateBk5, and it's probably just as easy to set this up in a saved view in DateBk4/5, but everything was already set up in Reminder, so I continue to use it. Very straightforward.

Reminder sounds like a great application---Does anyone knowif it is linked/synced or compatible to Action names?

For example--Will reminder pick up tods or appointments entered in through Action names or vice versa?

    Thanks

No, anything you want to show up in Reminder has to be entered in Reminder, but it will export to the Datebook database, so you can have the reminders show up in Action Names.

Yes, because it operates directly on the native ToDo database.

Although if it's discovered that you are actually using it and AN together, you might be reported to the Department of Redundancy Department.

I also like ReDo - downloaded it from PalmGear. It's like a simplified version of ToDo plus.
