DocsToGo and WordPerfect 10
Short questions: Does DocsToGo support WordPerfect (specifically WP 10)? If not, do any of the other comparable programs support WP 10 or am I just out of luck?
Background:
Ok, I just went to the doctor's office with my wife and I thought I would get a little work done while I was there, so I hotsynced a Wordperfect document I had been working on. When I pulled it up on my Palm m505, I noticed that the formatting was a little off, i.e, single spacing instead of double, tabs were messed up, there was no footer anymore, etc. I thought, no big deal it will go back to normal when I load it back onto my desktop after some editing.
Well, surprise, surprise, after hotsyncing the document back on the desktop, the formatting was all messed up. The document now looks just like it did on my Palm.
Having thought that the whole purpose of DTG was to retain the original formatting I was pretty disappointed. After searching dataviz.com, I discovered that DTG does not support WordPerfect 10, but it supports WP 7-9 (or at least claims to). I am not sure this version difference is what caused the formatting changes though because upon further searching the site, the site states that the "DocSync" Technology that keeps the formatting exactly the same requires Word or Excel and does not mention WordPerfect at all.
So, does anybody know whether DTG supports WP 10 or any other WP version? I ask because although I have access to both WP and Word, I much prefer the former.
Sorry about the rambling and thanks for any help.

DataViz Documents To Go Professional 4.0 (actually, it is 4.003 build 285) supports WordPerfect 9.0. I am willing to bet that if the WordPerfect file format has not changed between WP 9.x and WP 10.x, Documents to Go Professional will work just fine.
DataViz does sell Documents To Go Standard 4.0, but that version will not allow you to edit WP documents on your PDA.

How refreshing! A faithful WP user! Keep it up, you're not alone!!!
We'll conquor that pathetic "other program" yet! Okay, sorry...I couldn't resist.
However, I'm glad to know that DTG Pro supports WP.
That just made my weekend!

I have the professional edition, version 4.003 (285). I can edit WP documents, but the formatting gets all messed up.
Just got an email back from the DocsToGo tech support. Here is the substantive part:
"Good afternoon, thank you for your inquiry! Documents To Go supports WordPerfect versions 6-9 so the support for version 10 would not be complete.
However, even with that said I should point out that our DocSync technology (which preserves the formatting in desktop documents even after editing on the handheld) is not yet available for WordPerfect files. Unfortunately, DocSync Technology currently applies only to Word and Excel files. So, if
your desktop document contains formatting beyond what is supported on the handheld, when you edit and save changes on the handheld and then sync back to your desktop, the desktop document will contain only the saved changes supported on the handheld. In other words, unsupported formatting will be lost in the original desktop document after editing/saving changes."
(Sorry I couldn't figure out how to bold, etc the quote)
Anyway, this quote and my own experience means (to me) that DocsToGo does not support WordPerfect, which is unfortunate as I cannot stand Word, but that's another story.
So the question becomes, do any of the similar products (Wordsmith, etc.) truly support WordPerfect, or am I stuck?
Thanks,
Joe
