Palm iiic Sync with LNotes & Palm Desktop

I have a Palm IIIc (OS 3.5.2) and would like to do my email (at least some of it) on the Palm. I do love my Palm. We have Lotus Notes R5 at work and would like to sync with LNotes email. I would like to continue to use my Palm Desktop (ver 4.0) for my calendar, todos & contacts, just need to get my email into the Palm. I do not use the LNotes calendar, todos, but maybe if the address book sync too, that would be a bonus (not needed).
Will the Mail included in Palm set-up do this? What are tricks & tips todo this?

Do I need the Intellisync? It seems there are problems with the Easysync, from what I have read hear.
If Intellisync is the answer, will the Hotsync Mgr still work for the Desktop? Not sure if I understand this "conduit" stuff too well.
I am new to this and don't want to spend a lot of time "fixing" stuff it is too techy for me.
Thanks, Tom

Don't know what your tech 'pain threshold' is, Tom, but it shouldn't be too bad!Originally posted by tskj35

First, Lotus Notes is not among those e-mail applications listed in the included Mail setup program (Lotus cc:Mail is, but that's no help, I'm afraid), so you will need some additional conduit software. Intellisync does offer an e-mail conduit to your version of Lotus Notes, and I believe it should be possible to pick and choose which conduits to set up with the other apps (not absolutely sure, since I don't use Intellisync).
BTW, the old EasySync (which I believe was free) did have a reputation for flakeyness, but has since been replaced by EasySync Pro, for which IBM charges a significant fee. I have no idea whether the new version is any better.Steven G. Tyler, Esq.
