    Default Z launcher icon question

One of my favorite things about Z launcher is the ability to use various icon sets. When I still used a Window's box, I would edit my own icon set with Z launcher Factory (mainly using Sjweise's great Mac OS icon set).

The newest version of Z launcher allows you to actually change the individual icons. This is great except I do not see all of the icons in the icon list. I can not figure out why only some show up. My guess was that it only showed icons that were not assigned to appearing apps ? but this doesn't seem to ring true.

    Anyone know the answer.

I haven't even worked out how to change the icons yet! I assumed that holding the stylus on an icon would include an option to change, but it doesn't. <Sigh.> RTFM, Streaky.

Half way there. Hold the icon and the menu will pop up (unless this is disabled in prefrences). Then select "info." You will see the icon in the upper left corner. Tap on that icon to change it with another.

OK icon experts, sjweise and group, any further info??

Of course. The Manual is not that big -- but it still would take a long time to smoke. I am only thinking of your health

This may be the first time in almost 2000 posts I bumped one of my threads -- but I was really hoping someone knew the answer to this.

It seemed to me that any icon w/o a file in ram or rom was not available for use. I know it sounds stupid but that is what it seems to me. Don't forget that appicon ( version 1.0) will work on any device and change both launcher and dia icon!
Visor to M515 to T3 to T3.5 to TX (now a paperweight) to Treo 650 (another paperweight) to Treo 680 to Blackberry Curve 8900 to Blackberry Bold 9700.

I thought that might be the case at first. Although the first two lines of "available" incons include address, date book, Memo, Hotsync and SMS. I obviously have all of those in ram or rom

I had a fiddle on the way home on Friday. It seems to me that (a) only those apps for which an icon has been designed by whoever put together that icon set will be shown and(b) zLauncher will only allow you to assign an icon designed for an app to that app (i.e. I cannot assign a Memo icon to the Hotsync app). Appicon (and perhaps others) may allow you to cross-pollenate apps and icons but I haven't given that a go yet. It's cool, though, to be able to pick and choose from different icon sets.

I think you can cross pollenate (although I have not really done this since bio 101). For instance, I changed the Syncer icon to a datebook icon (hey it makes sense to me ).

I have heard that this is a known bug and I am just waiting for Zlauncher to release a fix!
