Guys, you may want to rethink on this morse code messages. You don't want to get the NSA worried here on this side of the pond. But, more importantly I enjoy the banter on this forum and I am missing all of that because I don't know morse nor the german and 25 other languages that Jonas switches to. Please translate it to one of the many languages that I understand (British english, american english, indian english, chinese english, korean english, japanese english......).
    Thanks & regards,

    Saibal

Did you even register your GPS10 with Garmin? If not, then you can just create a new mygarmin account and register it, then you can get a second unlock code to use the v7 maps with the cfque. Since you would be registering it after newer maps are available, you would also be able to order the updated maps and get free unlock codes for the new maps for your GPS10 and cfQue.

    Rich,

I did indeed register the GPS10 and the cfQue a good while ago. As I mentioned, I've moved ISP's twice and I no longer remember my account. To do so means I have to enter the old email address from 18 months ago which it recognises and it thens sends account information to that. Doh!

I know that the maps have moved on two revisions but £140+ to get the CD here in the UK is a high price to get me out of the quagmire I'm in.

I am now on day two waiting for Garmin to reply but they simply cannot be bothered to do so. They claim on their website that they value their customers. What they mean is that they value your money and not much else.

Today, I achieved a result. After waiting some 25-30 minutes on the phone, I eventually got through to someone in technical support. It seems my email was 'known' about as some specific keywords were quoted to me which were beyond the realm of pure guesswork! Anyway, after a few minutes on the phone I was talked through the reregistration process and I was given a new unlock code for my, ahem, throughly modern CS7 maps. None of that CN9 malarkey for me! I loaded all the maps onto my SD card. Lucky for me I bought a 2Gb card. I am reasonably happy again.
