Re: Anybody still have original PalmPro?
My last bought with my trusty old US Robotics PalmPilot Professional was when I was getting my data off of it before giving it to a friend. As far as I know, he still uses it. That computer when inside of it's thick leather slip case was indestructable and when out of the case, well, it was still indestructable. The fact that handheld is in one peice and working after the use I got out of it is a real tribute to the engineers from USR back in the day.

Hello Charlie and welcome to Brighthand!
That all depends on if you have all the parts, what accessories you have, and if the manuals and software are included or not.I have the original palm pilot and am willing to part with it - what's a reasonable price?

Re: Anybody still have original PalmPro?
My wife and I work for a big company and a few years ago (I guess it must have been quite a few years ago) they issued her a PDA. She doesn't go in for gadgets so she let me use it. I wasn't comfortable with it so I stuffed it in a drawer and forgot about it.
I was in Afghanistan about a year ago. On the day I left our supply Sgt handed me a PDA that he had ordered months ago. I took it, thanked him and went home (I'm in the National Guard).
About a month ago I left my three inch thick day planner at my In-Law's house so I dug out the PDA the army issued to me (I was planning on doing it anyway as I got a Douglas Adams bug up my butt recently and wanted to be a bit more techie). It turns out to be a T5 and I love it now!
I love it so much that I dug out the old PDA (in the same drawer I stashed my T5) and gave it to my oldest, seventh grade daughter. I was just trying to figure out what it was when I stumbled on this thread. It's a US Robotics PalmPilot Professional!
So, does anybody know where I can discuss this device and how to upgrade it as much as possible for my daughter?

Re: Anybody still have original PalmPro?
A buddy of mine at work was cleaning out his desk and recently handed over a US Robotics PalmPilot Pro in perfect condition with the slip case and cradle. I threw a couple batteries in it and it fired right up! Old skool pulls through! I activated the serial port on my work pc and got it to sync to Outlook. Crazy. Now I have to find some compatible apps and give this thing a whirl. Talk about a blast from the past.

Inner Prop, the most upgrading you could do is find a "Palm III" upgrade card somewhere--it has Palm OS 3, Flash ROM, and 2MB of RAM (and an IR port). If you can't find one of those (and it's not going to be easy), you should at least be able to find Upd205.prc, which is a small update patch to Palm OS 2. (That file, and the other update patch files, have been included in the Palm Desktop CD for quite some time.)
TRG also made some upgrade cards around the time of the Palm III Upgrade card. One had 8MB of RAM, I think, and one even had a pager receiver built in. If I remember right, they didn't have infrared ports.
jobooth321, you can search PalmGear and sort by New Releases, Descending to find some oldies from 1997 and later.Pilot 1000, PalmPilot Personal (w/2MB "Palm III" upgrade card), Visor Deluxe, m105, m125, Tungsten E, Tapwave Zodiac 1, unlocked GSM Centro, T-Mobile Dash 3G, T-Mobile Touch Pro 2, Motorola DEFY (T-Mobile), Samsung Galaxy SII (T-Mobile), Archos 80 G9 tablet
