Install progs to Main, Flash rom or card?

I am new to pocket pc's..WHat are some of the details on where to install programs. Should I install them to main, flash rom or card? Do they work differently in the different locations?

All programs which can be installed on SD or CF cards should be installed there. Either type of card will work fine. Discussions regarding the comparative r/w speeds of these cards abound but in my experience, differences are negligible and cannot be seen in practical use of the e8xx series. For that matter, such differences cannot be seen in the Loox 720 [now my primary device] either.

Memory savings, particularly for those of us who load many programs and utilities is very great. My e800 with 39 programs/utilities installed, including TextMaker, four browsers, 4 readers and eXPerience, shows 48MB of main memory available. Loading these into main memory would reduce this total by more than half, to about 15-18MB.

Netfront & PIE caches should also be relocated to SD or CF as well as mail attachments&c.
