Long term take on Presenter Pack
Now that the e800 has been out for a while, can anybody comment on the long term usefulness of the Presenter Pack?
1. Is it worth having the extra USB port? Have people actually used it to hook up USB peripherals (like a memory key) on a regular basis, or is it pretty much forgotten?
2. What's the picture quality like for the VGA out? Can it REALLY work for a business presentation or you just better off presenting from a more powerful laptop?
Thanks. Considering picking one up off EBay before they march off into the sunset...

Re: Long term take on Presenter Pack
Hi ozone.
I have the e800 since this year: I use the USB port and can connect an ARCHOS AV340 and a memory key where I save movies and songs.
The VGA out quality is quite good if you use the highest resolution. Just remember that after WM2003SE the ONLY way to get the VGA out is to use IA Presenter AFTER having shut down the BT radio (at least on my unit). ClearVues software cannot see the Presentation Pack, even if someone says that the USA version of ClearVue works.
Hope this can help.

1. The European and US version of the Clearvue pack displays the same version number.
2. NONE of the Clearvue applications can use the presentation pack when You install the European version.
3. Clearvue Presentation DOES work when You install the US version of Clearvue Suite (the other components not...).QTEK 9000 with 2Gb SD card

I have an 805 running SE and did not have any luck with the US version of IA presenter but I do get excellent results with Pocket Slides and the expansion pack on external projectors useing vga out. It can handle a quite large business presentation and also allows last minute modification of slides.

I too can vouch for using the presentation pack w conduits pocket slides.
Very reliable software too , lots of features - including being able to use the stylus to "draw " on the slides

I have also downloaded the US version of ClearVue suite: no way! There is nothing coming out of the presentation pack.
I'll try Pocket slides as suggested to see if I can work without changing the BT settings.

With my E800, the Clearvue Presentation certainly works
( all the others not !). I have Europe ROM image, and I have installed ClearVue from the US site.
Do You have US ROM maybe ?
But I don't think it would make a difference...

Pumats,
Just a silly question: did You try to redirect the output to external VGA in ClearVue Presentation when You tested it ?QTEK 9000 with 2Gb SD card

I use the VGA out for bussiness presentations at least once on week.,..
Work great on windows FE +Resfix and the clearvue package ..
Nomarly i remove the fancy animations from the ppt before using it on the e800....
As the usb is also great i use it to backup my photos to my 20gb hd on hollidays....
PS: sometimes i don't use the presentation pack because my costumers get more interested on the e800 than on the products i showing
Amiga -> Casio PB1000 -> Casio E105 -> Casio E200-> Toshiba E800...
