Default how is surfing in landscape mode with WM SE 2003??

i am the proud owner of an ipaq 2215 for about a year now. i was so jealous of you toshiba e800 owners when WMSE 2003 came out, and you guys were the only one to be able to enjoy it. thinking about springing forward with one of the new VGA PDA's...just wondering, how good do you guys like the landscape and portrait modes?

i mainly want it for surfing, so i was wondering, how sweet is surfing the web in landscape mode?

    i am so jealous!!!

Well, I just picked up an e800 a few hours ago. I didn't upgrade it to SE, but I still did some web-browsing in 640x480 using MyVga and it's pretty close to browsing from a PC (I was really impressed with the speed).

Even the wife was impressed when I let her check her Hotmail through the handheld.

But, the thing that REALLY impressed me was accessing my PC at work through the VPN with the terminal services client. I was almost giddy running WindowsXP on the PocketPC in 640x480 (keep in mind I've been using Palm OS based PDA's for the last 5 years or so).

I guess to answer your question, browsing in landscape is great, but I don't think that you need SE to do it (aren't there hacks available for landscape in FE with QVGA?)

I love my E805. Using MultiIE you get some extra features, and for me it's everything I need for casual browsing.

There is a new version of MultiIE coming for WM2003SE, but in FE it works fine.

I use my e800 mostly for web browsing and remote network. Have used both FE and SE for months, and I can tell you that you'll be browsing very happily with either in landscape mode. Just look for software tips, hints and hacks throughout this forum. You will need to do a bit of tweaking to get the setup you really like, but it's worth it.

The new version of MultiIE is ready and online now!

It supports WM2003 SE VGA and several new features (such as setting the height of the tab view).

I hope you enjoy it on your e800 (and all other devices).

    Smile Surfing in Landscape

I've been loosing my nerves with WM2003 SE for few weeks.
    Everything si soooo slowwww!

I am Back to WM2003FE+MyVga (and almost never use QVGA) I use Landscape only.

If you want a really snappy browsing on your E800 >>

WM2003FE + Netfront 3.1 for toshiba e800 + overclock to 530MHz and a wireless card (I use ASUS CF wifi card).

There is (almost) no difference as the browsing experience on a PC.
