I don't not of any program that works like Getright for PPCs but... I think that you are confused about one point.
I use getright and the aceleration comes from the ability of the software to find mirrows and connect to the faster of those mirrows there is not any other aceleration in there. If the file that you are downloading is not located in any other mirrow your speed will be limited to the speed of that connection. You may have a very fast Internet connection but the guys from where you want to download the file may be not. In another hand, in my experience the speed of browsing the web in our PPCs is limited by the speed on our hardware not by the speed of the connection.
So basically, what I'm trying to tell you is that "You get what you see" there is not anything you can do to acelerate the process.

No,the speed of a download don't come always from the Wifi speed or ftp go slowly....Its the same thing that a Desktop computer, who download with Dowload accelerator with multi-fragments of the same file.that go more quickly....

You are saying the same thing that I said. If you have multiple mirrows the program can download multiple fragments from different ftps and that will give you more speed. But... that does not exist for PPCs.Originally posted by cybermatos

I don't think you need a download accelerator. The problem with surfing on the pocket PC is the browser. Pocket IE is an antiquated snail. Download the trial of Netfront for the e800 and see if that helps. The difference in speed over pocket Internet Explorer is pretty noticeable.
Palm will be Assimilated.
Resistance is Futile.
My Wife, Yes. My Dog, Maybe. My Pocket PC, NEVER!

Presumably, if you are concerned about download speed, you intend to download some fairly large files. If you have getright on a desktop, I would go ahead and download to that desktop, then wifi to your ppc. You can use VNC to remote control your desktop and control/monitor get right.
BTW, IMHO, the most acceleration comes from being able to recover a dropped transmission without restarting it.

Actually when using wireless connections it does help to use multiple connections (but not too many). The latency which you typically get with wireless does affect performance. It's not a problem when viewing the web since a page will be loaded with multiple connections but a file will use just one.
Have a look at this if you're really interested in the problems of TCP/IP and wireless (in the paper below they look at GPRS). http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~rc277/mwcn02.pdf

I think servers limit upload bandwidth per connection. He seems to want multiple connections to the same server, that seems to increases download speeds considerably. This is what most download accellerators do. There is no program that does this for the Pocket PC, but VITO MobileDownloader allows download resuming along with multiple downloads, and that's nice and helpful with downloads. I've never tried it, but it sounds good. Another problem could be that your Wi-Fi is too slow. 11Mbps is merely a theoretical throughput, actual is is ~6 to 7 Mbps, which is lowered further by using WEP, imperfect reception and other factors.

I didn't know the accelerators would request packets from more than one source. I thought GetRight would check connections with a few of the top sites for the particular file and use the swiftest one. (But then, maybe that was then and this is now).

There are various types of download accelerators, many use multiple connections to the same server and download segments of the file. Others are for squeezing the most out of your connection when browsing websites, they follow links and download the next couple of pages in advance.
But for wireless you struggle with latency, it's worse on mobile phones than wifi, but if you have a marginal signal then you could be getting bad packets and if the receive window is high there's a chance it will take a while for retransmits.
