    Default PDF Reader....

I'm guessing most if not all of you that use a pdf reader are using Adobe's version for the PocketPC?

Are there addons for MS-Reader that let you read PDFs?

The QuickVue Suite that comes with the e80x has a PDF viewer in it too. I don't know of any MS Reader add-ins for PDF viewing.

I have a license for Ansyr Primer that I got way before Adobe came out with their reader, and I have it loaded but don't really see any advantage of using it over the Adobe one. I loaded it mainly because I paid about $75 for it a while back.

Really? It isn't on the CD or in ROM so just where is it?

on my e805, it's in the ROM....

    under Programs I have:

    ClearVue Document
    ClearVue Image
    ClearVue Presentation
    ClearVue Worksheet

to tell you the truth, I have not tried any of these yet so I'm not sure which one reads what...PDFs....probably Document or Image?

No it is not in ROM. I do not see Clearvue PDF in your list or on my E805. None of those programs open PDFs. Only Clearvue PDF opens PDFs.

Ahh....I see now. Didn't realize there was a "ClearVue PDF"......thought it was built into one of these ClearVue apps that were in my ROM.

It might be on the CD which came with the 805 then....not sure. Don't have it with me.

Don't see anything that refers to PDF either within the suite, but it is available as a standalone app:

Well, it would appear that I'm wrong. Sorry to have misled you. That's what I get for not checking it out first before I replied. At any rate, I cannot find a PDF veiwer either pre-installed on my e800 or on the companion CD.

I've used the Adobe Acrobat Reader in the past and it works well enough. It's a bit of a memory hog and it's a bit slow as well.

ClearVue PDF is available from Handango for an exorbidant $8.95. It works faster than Adobe's Reader. It also supports output through the e800's presentation pack (as well as native VGA resolution).

I may opt for this as well. Pretty inexpensive. I have Adobe Reader and it does run very slow...
