Trans-reflective screen?

    Default Trans-reflective screen?

    Just read on the Toshiba website, that the screen's front lights can be turned on/off.

    Does this mean you can switch from transflective to reflective??

    Any ideas?

    No, this means you can switch from transflective (lit) to transflective (unlit). By disabling the backlighting you can conserve battery life, but then you need an external light source to be able to read the screen at all.

    It says FRONT light On/Off, rather than backlight?

    Wishful thinking on my part?

    It says the same thing for the e750 series, which has a backlit transflective screen as well. Sometimes they just don't rephrase the wording correctly from one product to the next.

    Sigh....they also call it trans-reflective, not just transflective.
