I need a copy of 2003 upgrade for a Toshiba e750 too. I have downloaded the 23.0409 KERNEL version. Is it an old version? Someone can post me the ftp link to download the kernel?

An other thing... My PDA has a French ROM. I'm Italian and I do not understand one single word of French. Is a problem for my PDA if I use an English ROM?

It is for 755. Is it good for my e750?
Or I have to use an e740 Kernel?

Nobody can help me? I have tried the two kernel that I have finds, but the PDA says that the format is disowned and the start from CF fails. Help!!!

hmmm, at the risk of trying to help, but exposing my lack of knowledge, let me share this: i know [sic] squat about what a kernal is. i do have the toshiba CD which says Toshiba Pocket PC 2003 and if you can tell me what the file name is amidst the 300mb of the CD's contents, i'll be happy to look for the needed file. and, provided this doesn't violate some file sharing blah blah....i can zap to you. as far as i know, the stuff i have is English (it was sent me from some placein CA, USA i think - last year)

I have the upgrade CDs(both En and Fr). The question is how to transfer to you. they are 18M files.
If any one can offer a public site I will upload them. the full CD is 236M.

BTW, as a summary, there are two ways to upgrade your E750/755 to 2003, one is using the upgrade CDs, which will upgrade your device to 2.0009 Kernel; the other way is to use CF card upgrade, which can be download from http://www.opiedog.com/755/WM2K3-ROM...ERIES-ONLY.zip
. This will upgrade to 2.0006 kernel.

The ROM dump for 2.0009 kernel can not be found anywhere on the web ( as far as I know).

Here, I would also request the ROM dump of 2.0009 kernel. If any one likes to use OSLoader to dump your 2.0009 kernel (following the instruction on http://www.pc-counselor.com/e740ROM.htm), I would very much appreciate it.

Can OSLoader be used to backup additions to the OS that I add myself?

For example, can I permanantly load the latest version of MSN Messenger and write it into the ROM, so next time my PDA dumps I don't have to reload MSN Messenger?

Is there another way to slipstream files that are out of date? How about to write any permanant settings into ROM like my Exchange settings or my name and address?

Anyone ever see a copy of the 2.0009 Kernel written out? What files are different from 2.0006?

OSLoader just reads and saves your ROM content to files. I don't think it can modify ROM.
