Revert Back to 2002
Unfortunately, Mobile 2003 upgrade is not working for me like I thought it would. I would like to revert my e755 back to 2002. Can this be done? If so, how? Once I accomplish this, I'll have a CD Rom from Toshiba with the 2003 upgrade that I will sell for $30.
Thanks in advance.

Curious...what's not working? Is it that your apps don't work, or is there a problem with the OS. I upgraded mine and virtually any problem I had has gone away. It works great. A few apps don't work, but the stability is worth it. It sucks that you have to pay for the stability after the fact, but it made an otherwise pretty good PDA a very good PDA.
Not trying to talk you out of it, I'm just curious.

I'm curious too. The upgrade has also worked really well for me.

I thought my request to revert would have others asking why. First of all let me say, that 2002 was very stable for me and I never had a problem with the way I used my e755. I read many positive things from this forum from a lot of others that had upgraded so I decided to do the same. The upgrade went without a hitch. But ever since upgrading, I have been unable to connect to my wireless network at home. I have even had others more competent than I in the area of wireless and they too can not get my PPC to connect. At least with 2002, I could connect.
Alarme, an alarm program that I have used for years now is not dependable. The backlight does not come on when the alarm goes off and about once a week, the alarm doesn't go off at all. I agree that this may be because the program was written for PC 2002. I have written to Alarme, but no response as of yet.
About 2-3 times a day, my PPC freezes and I have to do a soft reset. I can not click on the Wireless LAN Manger or the Wireless Networks. I have my WIFI turned on and when I tap either of these two icons....nothing. Occassionlly, I can get the Wireless LAN Manager to open and then I get the "hourglass" that acts like the energizer bunny....it's keeps on going and going and going until I do a reset.
Some of the other programs that I use are: Pocket Informant, mNotes by Commontime for syncing Notes and my PPC. I also use CoPilot Live 4, Pocket TV, Yacht (dice game) and that's about it.
Other than that, 2003 has been fine. By the way, I found out from Toshiba (email) that once you flash the operating system to 2003, there is no going back. So, I guess I am going to have to live with what I got. I was under the impression that all I would have to do to connect to my wireless home network would be turn the PPC on. Well, I have failed miserably in this regard. I am using Linksys on my laptop and my wife's laptop is using a PCMICA Linksys card and it works perfectly. So, it must be something I am doing wrong. Although, I don't depend upon the WIFI for anything, I thought it would be nice to have and am frustrated that I seem to be the only person with 2003 that can't get it to work.
All the best to everyone. I find a wealth of information in this fourm and appreciate all the effort people put into their responses and questions. Sure is a lot of talent out there.

I'm sure you thought of this already, but does WIFI work with nothing else installed? I'm wondering if there is an app that's screwing things up a bit.
