Scroll further down that page and you will see the version that is compiled specifically for 2003, here's the direct link for the CAB...
http://www.wincesoft.de/PocketMVP_fo....STRONGARM.CAB
It works like a dream on my E750 with 2003.
If you have already tried that version and are still suffering difficulties...
Have you tried playing a different divx file to make sure it isn't one particular one that refuse to work?
Is the one you are trying to view within the dimension of 320x240?

Copy the .cab file to your device. Double click on the file with your file browser. The application install.
I install the e755 optimized version and it fails too. I select any file type and it goes to a full, black screen. Tapping the screen brings it back to the application screen. Anyone else having problems?
TIA

Copy yhe .AVI to your desktop or laptop.
In Explorer:
Right click on it>>Properties>>Summary
tell us what type of compression is being used.
Or, even better, open it in VirtualDub then
File>>File Information
