e 740 wifi connection

Hi,
Can someone help me,I cannot surf the web with my e740 and Win2000.
It's exactly 2 months that I struggle with the connections but no results.
Right now I'm using Win 2000,to connect on the web I use one network card connected on my workplace ethernet I also share my Internet connection with one wireless card as my private LAN with the Ip address set to 192.168.0.1 and subnet 255.255.255.0 the card it's set to 802.11 AdHoc connection.
On the e740 i set my wireless card to get an Ip address automaticly and left blank the DNS AND WINS.
I can perfectly sync remotely but no surf the web and access my shared resources on the laptop.
I also absolutely don't know how to ping or use the program to do so.
I think there are some problem because my Internet connection at my workplace it protected with a proxy.
Please,Please can someone help me with this issue??

Basically If you are using statics IP your DNS should be the same than the IP address of the computer connected to Internet, also that computer should be set to share the internet.

Hello,
on my laptop I have shared the Internet connection,and I can succesfully ping my Toshiba.
From the Toshiba I can ping my laptop and I can remotely Activesysnc.
I think the problem it's on the connection manager setting on ther Pocket pc because My Internet connection it' under a Proxy server with a userame/domain login.

I check yours page many times and I find it very useful for AdHoc connections settings.
