    Default Home not going Home

I have had my e740 for the last two weeks, and found something really annyoying. Some times I press the home button or I select the home option from the start button and the home screen does not come up. Instead the Home title bar shows up next to the start button. Solution... Reset the device. AHHHH that is driving me mad. Anyone have any other solution?

    Thanks

Not that I have a solution, but just wanted to let you know that I had the same problem (and solved it the same way -- resetting it). There seemed to be a lot of times where applications wouldn't launch -- it wasn't just the HOME program on my unit.

    Angry same thing

Reset to fix that problem. According to Tweaks2k2, I've reset the e740 over 190 times since I got it. Too MANY.

You don't have to soft reset. By pressing the Record buttom for a few seconds you will gain the control of the Home (all) buttom again. In my case I have the record buttom mapped to another application, so it does not bother me so much. I have explained this solution at www.pc-counselor.8m.com/e740.htm

    Hey ctitanic --

It's not like the button doesn't work, ... it's like the e740's doing some garbage processing or something. You'll actually see "HOME" appear on the titlebar, but it takes up to 60 seconds to popup on the screen, if at all.

yeah, that's what happens sometime. The solution is the same. Hit the record buttom.

Im curious. Is toshiba aware of this problem? Has anyone gotten any official response from Toshiba as a fix to this, besides the often "do a soft reset"?

Are they planning to fix this at all? And does this problem happen to all e740 or just some of them?

    thanks
