Battery door slide lock turns off EM500 when unlock?

Sorry if this is common knowledge but i just found this out when playing with the slide lock found at the battery cover.

if my ppc is on and if i slide the lock to "main" position, it turns off my em500.

i guess my biggest question would be "how" because i see no contact points in there at the slide switch.

The contact points are inside the casio you can see them if you open it up... i saw it while i was overclocking
