No, the sound quality is improved on my Pocket PC due to the amplification.

what exactly does it do. It is a splitter and amplifier. I bought it so that my girl and I could both listen to music on the plane. I also used it to boost the sound when hooking my Pocket PC to my car stereo. You can use it with DVD, CD, MP3, cassette player, notebook, video game player, a Gameboy, or Pocket PC.

Just about anything.
Again, I am saving up for a motherboard so no trades this time.
