    Default Unconnected Blackberry & Yahoo

Since I don't have data on my current plan, I'm just using my old BB8800 as a combination phone/pda. I got frustrated trying to sync it at work because for some reason, the Blackberry Desktop doesn't give me the option of syncing to Outlook. Outlook Express yes, but not Outlook.

However, one of the options was Yahoo so I closed my eyes and pressed the fatal button. Contacts went through fine as best I can tell; likewise the Notepad function. The Calendar was a different story. They seemed to all come through but my appointments were often but not always changed by hours. Appointments for 3:30 PM, for example, got moved to 10:30 AM. didn't mess up the days or anything else, just the times. (Moved them to Zulu Time?)
I don't know why but I only had a couple dozen or so for months so it was no big deal to review and change manually.

Just a warning in case anybody else tries it.

I don't understand? Unless your BB has some IT Policy on it. What version of DM do you have at work? Also is your BB running version 4.5? I have using a BB8820/BB8320 since my Treo 650 died in 2009. You might have to ask your IT department if that function is disabled.
    Blessings
    Guy.

Thanks. But this is just my personal Blackberry. I dropped data and BIS years ago as something that I didn't really need and I needed to economize.
Recently dug it back out as my feature phone started going wonky and just use the BB on my current talk & text plan.
