If the carriers do force you to tether, another good idea will be killed, just like AT&T is doing with the Atrix.

Well I just use the tether app sparingly, between my BB and MB air, and with the unlimited data plan, there is no additional charge. I do it with the "tether" app either via bluetooth or usb. Least with my setup, either seems fine. On my old treo, the USB tethering was faster. Now, if by tethering, if I was downloading movies, and usin 20 gigs a month, perhaps they would say something.
nuvi 765t, iPhone 5, Still waiting on BB10 phones to review. Primarily Mac focused, only using my PC's when dragged kicking and screaming.
