Thumbs up Unscientific poll: Most Storm Users Happy

Over at Crackberry, there is a poll for Storm owners to voice their pleasure or displeasure with the storm.

About 80% of those responding (about 1300 of 1500) were happy (30%) or at least satisfied (50%). This is a very good sign for those of us considering the Storm as a next phone.

In the back of my mind, Nova has a certain appeal but if I buy a Storm in spring 2009 when I'm eligible for a subsidy, I would have to sit out on Nova for at least another couple of years.

r0k, won't you know by Spring 2009 what's going on with Nova? Since Palm's timeline is 1st half 2009, you'll have some indicator that something is coming in 2009 and be better positioned to decide if waiting it out is appropriate.

If Nova is delayed and is coming out in 2010, then you can always enjoy a BB Storm for a year while you wait!

Darn. Caught me. There was a bit of sarcasm in my post. I was assuming that there wouldn't be any official word on Nova by next spring. I sincerely hope that is not the case.

With my brief experience on the 8830, and the "word around the web" about the Storm, I have pretty high confidence I'd be happy. But I'd like to give Nova the "right of first refusal" before locking myself into a Storm for up to 2 years.

Edit: The Storm picks up it's first accelerometer based game! Nintai...

Yeah,r0k. I would just wait. A LOT can happen in 6 months. The 8830 seems to be treating you well. You can see if Nova will actually be out or if it is indeed Vaporware (which I don't think it is) and you can let RIM work out the "new device" bugs in the Storm and make sure it is what it seems to be.

    But that's just me...
