XV6700 Update?

Hey Brighthand. I just bought a Verizon XV6700 Pocket PC and love the interface and features. I have a question though about updating it. There is an update for the phone from Verizon online at their site and at the Starcom site. I downloaded and installed the update but my phone still says the ROM is from February of last year. I have reset the device several times. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. The device appeared to update and said it was updating the radio and ROM to new versions but it does not appear to have those updates on the actual device. Should I reset it once more AFTER it installed those updates? Or will Windows Mobile Device Center take care of everything?
