As of yesterday, the pocketop wireless keyboard has announced on their website that this January, they'll be making available for download, the software for the Axim to work with their highly rated, innovative product. I'll be ordering one, I really like the idea of word processing with the screen used horizontally, that is very smart.

For those canucks who don't know, the pocketop is actually a Canadian success story. Not that I'm nationalistic, but it is nice to see THE OCCASIONAL successfully marketed techie advancements that don't come from our buddies in the US.

Aeromoose. ;)

PS, Funny how it turns out to be an accessory. Sort of like the Canadarm on the space shuttle.

Neat to hear its a Canadian invention. How does it compare with the Targus and the Belkin (which I guess is the one Dell is shipping)? I really like the idea of being able to type in landscape, but I have found with the infrared keyboard I tried on a desktop computer that it could not keep up with my typing - this may just have been a cheap model. Also, what are the keys like. I really liked the collapsible keyboard I had for my palm and the full size feel of it. How "full size" is the pockettop wireless keyboard? Finally, any "deals" on the pockettop keyboard available for Canadians that you know of.

Thanks!

While I don't know of any 'deals' per se, the deal I got was at Radio Shack. A pocketop keyboard for $100. BUt it was on sale for $80 and there was a $30 rebate on top of that as well.

I just checked RS's website and unfortionately there's no deal right now.

But personally I'd recommend the keyboard, it is very responsive, and works very well. No keyboard is worth buying for $100 but if you can find a used one for less money, that be good.

Dell seems to be offering information on a snap-on thumb keyboard. Has anyone ever used one on another device?

I don't see a price on the Dell site yet....
