They started a limited time deal for free overnight shipping on PDAs including the Axim. Kind of cool. Now I just have to wait a month and a day insteady of a month and 7 days :)

Right, and also they give free shipping and 10% discount before rebate. You just nee to call them instead of online order. Just got mine ordered 400mhz + USB cable for $322 before rebate :D !!!

Doh! I was looking all over for info on how to get the 10% rebate. The 10% off deal online specifically excluded the Axim.
I just ordered one online yesterday so I guess I missed out. Oh well, with the rebate and free overnight shipping I can't complain (except for the wait!)

But there is a trick to get it. You have to goto a certain URL just to get it and then type the code in.. It wouldnt work until I ordered it from the URL listed in the Dell Customer edition catalog.

That's odd, I placed my order for the 400 MHz PPC on Thursday (19 Dec), it shipped Friday (20 Dec), and was delivered at my office this morning (Monday, 23 Dec). Why are you waiting.... did you add stuff to the order that wasn't in stock?
PS - I ordered some other accessories, but placed them under a different order. My X5 was the only item on that particular order.

I am waiting because I didn't order it. Won't come until I place that order. Anyway its not a big deal, but I guess it depends where it ships from and where its going to. Whatever the prep time currently is the ship time with overnight is always overnight. Regular ground can vary, but it may only take a day or two.

If you are an old customer of Dell (in other words ordered dell products before), then you just have to call up and ask for the 10% discount that comes with the magazine.
The sales person will gladly give it to you. At least they did to me. You should probably mention that you heard others are getting the discount.
Good luck

Went to the check out the Dell at the closest kiosk today, and it's certainly going to be a replacement for my iPaq 3635 (I'll be getting the advanced Axim). Called today for the extra 10% off, but no dice. Does anyone have any coupons they're willing to give up so I can take advantage of this deal?
Sucks that I have to pay tax because of the dang kiosk.

What you want to do is very simple.
Just tell them that you have had received magazine, but your significant other, or someone else whoever. Threw out the magazine with the coupon inside.
You really want to order the dell now, and do not want to wait until you get the next magazine. You do have to have your number on record as a previous dell owner.
If not ask to speak to a supervisor and advise that others are getting the 10% discount and someone through out your magazine.

Thank you! Worked well. Didn't get free overnight shipping though, but that's alright. iPaq will be eBayed once the Axim arrives!
