Backup programs?
Is there a (relatively cheap) app available for Garnet PDAs that will back the device up on the card? That is the one thing that I really miss from my TRG Pro that I would love to have on the Aceeca.

Re: Backup programs?
NVBackup should do the trick nicely. It's been a favorite around here for quite some time. Link in my sig line.

Re: Backup programs?
I'm assuming NVBackup won't work because you actually have RAM.
I recommend BackupMan.

It does indeed get amnesia when the battery runs down. Is that what you mean?

Re: Backup programs?
BackupBuddy Lite is free, and in the software reviews thread in my signature. You just have to remember to run it, or use the scheduling app I mention with it.

Re: Backup programs?
Yup. NVFS memory doesn't lose data when it runs out. NVBackup only works for devices with NVFS.
Forgot that one was still around. Here is the actual link, though hunting through that thread is quite worthwhile (and a lovely trip down memory lane):
A few software reviews...
I have it and I used it on my Alphasmart Dana, but I confess I ended up buying BackupMan for the Dana anyway. Automatic (and simple) is nice.Hook's Stories

Re: Backup programs?
The link no longer works. A Google search yielded a server backup program and a backup camera for trucks.
Looks like Backup Man is the last man standing. Will have to check into that.
Thanks, all.
