Bible Program
I am trying to decide which Bible progam to use on my Palm TX. My choices are Bible Reader from Olive Tree or My Bible5 from Laridian. If anyone is familiar with either program, could you please tell me which one do you think is better? Thank you.

Re: Bible Program
I have used olivetree extensively. They have a large selection of bibles some of which are free. The olivetree application is free so you can try it with KJV to see if you like it.
Then the T|T came out, I emailed Olivetree about an issue and they had a new version out that same weekend. They are very responsive. They also have versions for other platforms. I haven't had a chance to get Olivetree biblereader for my BB 8830 yet but I plan to when I get a chance.-Jeff

Re: Bible Program
I don't have any experience with Laridian, but I'll second Olive Tree, which I've been using for years on my TX.
And they are indeed very responsive. A couple years back, I mentioned a problem I had on the TE in a post here at Brighthand, and an Olive Tree rep responded that they would fix it. I didn't even request it; they monitor the discussions. Easily the second most responsive software development firm I'm aware of. (And since I know you'll ask, the answer, of course, is Cyberlogic Technologies, the company I work for.
But we don't do anything with PDAs.)

Re: Bible Program
I have another question. I was thinking of buying the teacherts collection that Olive Tree offers. It uses 100 MB. My Palm device only has 80 MB left on it. What ever does not fit, would it automatically transfer to the SD Card or would I have to tell it to go to the Card. How does that work, if anyone could help me to understand it. Thank you>

Re: Bible Program
FWIW, I also use Olive Tree products & store 5 different Bibles on my SD card for use with the Reader (also on the SD card.) The Reader & Bibles can be installed using Palm Quick Install via Hotsync, placing them in the lower portion of the Quick Install window so that they'll go into the proper folder on your SD card automatically.

The Bible Reader will then show up on the SD portion of the dropdown Menu at the upper right corner of the screen, using the native Palm launcher.

Re: Bible Program
My two cents (actually priceless)--go with OliveTree. I've built my libray from their catalogue. OT's plethora of bibles, eBooks, study materials and devotionals is quite extensive. I am overly pleased with how their software works and how easy it is to build bookmarks and notes files--even for specific books or build your own notes files.
So, here's one more vote for the OliveTree platform.Sharp Wizard 6500> Palm m500> m515> Tungsten T> Zire 71> T|E> T|X

Re: Bible Program
Bible+ is good. I've defined the 'OK' button in such a way that by pressing it the screen switches between one-version and two-version windows, so I can compare the spanish and the english verses.

Re: Bible Program
I've used MyBible ever since got my TE...migrated to my TX. Very solid program, works well, no complaints. I have not tried Olive Tree. Started using Bible+ some here lately because of some of the texts available for it for free and it's not bad either. The price is certainly right.
