Re: Bible Program
This brings up a good curiosity. If you've seen my posts in another thread relating to Chunk Size and Memory Heap issues, you'll see that they involve both Laridian and Olive Tree's apps. Well, to cut a long story short (Yup, the Spandau Ballet's 80s New Wave classic), it seems both OT and Laridian readers don't release the memory after exit.
Anyways, I've been lookng at another reader which, I hope may behave a bit better. Has anyone experience with Bible With You by GMP Soft?
I've gone to their website but, I've a few question before I indulge. So, I sent Customer Support a question from their web form only to be greeted with a screen which reports that the message could not be delivered due to too many redirects.
Now, mind you I have cookies enabled in every browser I tried--Navigator, Safari and Firefox. In every instance when I sent the same tech question through their indicated Customer Support weblink and form, I repeatedly got a "Too many redirects" error in each of the three browsers. For example, here's the message I get in Firefox:
==========
Redirect Loop
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.
* Have you disabled or blocked cookies required by this site?
* NOTE: If accepting the site's cookies does not resolve the problem, it is likely a server configuration issue and not your computer.
==========
So, I tried to send an e-mail to GMP Soft's webmaster and I got a "Mail undeliverable" response. Why is this? Has GMP gone under (and I don't mean Oz [Australia])?
Does Bible With You have better memory management behaviour? If so, does it release memory properly or do I still need to implement UDMH, Flush It and/or CleanStart with Bible With You? Also, if GMP Soft's gone although their website's still up, should I just avoid Bible With You/GMP Soft entirely?
Lots of questions, I know, but, perhaps you know the answers to the issues.

Yep. Clearly a bad form. I doubt they have gone under because the site has been updated recently. I suspect the email address and/or server is moofed and so the contact form is too.
You can try snail mail here:

Re: Bible Program
Thanks! I was just about to axe that option and just stick with OT & Laridian.
Now that that idea can stay open, I might give GMP a try. They seem to have the whole library I need and perhaps their memory management is a bit friendlier so perhaps, eCP won't freeze anymore.Sharp Wizard 6500> Palm m500> m515> Tungsten T> Zire 71> T|E> T|X

Re: Bible Program
have had many different pdas handspring, palm z22, now a centro and am very happy with olive tree, I also use bible+ an older but free and useful app that you can get some different librarys not availabe in fre versions in olivetree.I had laridian years ago on a pocket pc and its dictionaries and link rich libraries were easy to use.

Re: Bible Program
Welcome to Brighthand, daddyfoster1. I'm a big fan of Olivetree. It's followed me across 3 platforms. Palm, Blackberry and most recently my ipod touch. I'm very happy with Olivetree software so I've never had a chance to check out the others. Glad to hear you like olivetree as well.
