I've not had a Palm PDA for over a year now, but I still have all the programs I had installed or deinstalled on a CD I burned and all the registration codes in SplashID and all the eMails in a Palm Software folder hierarchy in ThunderBird.

But I'm not obsessive compulsive. I'm not! I'm not!

I keep all the palm programs I have downloaded on my hard disk, even those I never registered. For example, I just saw I have the original ZLauncher 1.00, and also programs I have not used for several years and probably will never use again (Silverscreen, TealDoc, OmniRemote, etc). My "Palm Software" folder on my hadr disk is a few GB in size. I'm very reluctant to prune it because once I had problems with several consecutive versions of TealLock. Eventually I had to go back three releases to clear the problem.

I've done IT with Windows machines bef, but never with handhelds. Imagine the potential nightmare it could be to stay on top of all the IT headaches associated with palms and PDAs
